A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. What does a Automation Engineer do at Hogarth? 

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Graphic Production Services (GPS) department with expertise in architecture and cross-functional workflow scripting.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interactive space, and its production requirements, as well as project management skills, organizational and leadership skills, and an eye for detail.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating tools and applications via Javascript, extend script,
  • script, C++, and other languages for automation, data and system management, Photoshop file manipulation, DAM and CMS integration and local dev environments 
  • Collaborating with Hogarth and client leads to streamline existing processes, create efficiencies and optimise files and outputs 
  • Testing and vetting of other tools and software, potential future 3rd party tools and applications
  • Documentation and dissemination of information to the GPS team
  • Training and support for tools created for and used by the GPS team
  • Acting as a bridge between GPS team, Developers, Creative Tech, & Engineers for GPS tools integration
  • Investigating new techniques, tools, and methods, determining the viability of implementing these, and integrating with as much ease of adoption for the GPS team as possible 
  • Ensuring art assets can be implemented without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding the platform’s technical limits

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Javascript, Adobe Extend Script, script languages
  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML, WebGL, Canvas, Node, NPM, and GiT
  • C++, Python knowledge is a bonus 
  • Technical proficiency in Photoshop and demonstrable experience in large volume workflow scripting
  • Basic understanding of Graphic Production workflow and process
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Natural mentor and training ability
  • Creatively resolve technical challenges and limitations

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
