Role summary:

The Lead Project Manager would be managing project as well as partnering with the project manager to strategize each production. The Lead PM will be the main client contact for all project escalations. Core responsibilities will include project management, managing risk, escalation point to clients, assisting project managers during negotiations of workload. Navigation of client communication and an understanding tool/pipeline development are also needed for success. This role will report to the studio's director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide production strategy and planning for upcoming launches and updates to ensure production capabilities and client's expectations are understood and considered.
  • Leads by example and maintains a very positive and welcoming team culture.
  • Project management:
    • Participate in project kickoffs, content meetings, reviews, and other project based meetings as needed.
    • Manage production plans: scope, timelines, communication and risk.
    • Schedules and tracks progress of tasks for assigned artists. Responsible for daily communication with the team and setting up daily check ins.
    • Communicates and manage daily communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thinks creatively and outside the box to come up with solutions, create risk management plan and create strategies for  problem solving.
  • Partner closely with Technical Director to determine additional production needs
  • Ability to make sound decisions, think strategically, focus on detail and big picture, problem solve, multi-task, and have an excellent memory.
  • Must possess exceptional organization, time management, excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Flexibility and resilience are key to this role as you may be required to work extended hours, multi-task and solve unexpected challenges.
  • Proven ability to build relations and work effectively across many stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt to cultural differences.
  • Schedules and tracks progress of tasks for assigned artists or sequences in the production system.
  • Tracks and maintains database of revisions and changes; notifies the affected stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in business, project management, design, animation, or a related field.
  • Proven success managing productions in an agency, production studio, or marketing communications environment.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle and process: able to understand complex project requirements, and recognize potential risks and dependencies across resourcing and projects.
  • Prior experience growing and leading project managers and artists.
  • Able to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate to ensure project goals are met and ensure efficient handoffs are carried out.
  • Client facing experience is a must.
  • Highly skilled at creating and overseeing project plans
  • Highly skilled in project management or content management systems such as Shot Grid, FastTrack, JIRA, Basecamp, or similar software.
  • Experienced with tight deadlines, production changes. Must be able to make decisions independently with a high level of ingenuity. Able to problem solve and stay calm in fast pace environments.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$93,000-$123,500/yr
