What does a Motion Graphic Production Team Lead do at Hogarth?
We are looking for a Motion Graphic Production Lead who will oversee a team of animation production artists responsible for the creation & production of animation & video assets for product launches and updates. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management which includes organization, leadership, and effective communication. The ideal candidate must also have experience in animation & technical design, After Effects, Photoshop & 3D software, web or HTML production and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the motion graphic production and post-production of animations using internal proprietary processes and tools as well as industry standard methods
- Directs & informs animation expertise on projects both in creative & technical execution
- Work directly with with designers, developers and producers to prototype creative direction of a given layout
- Strong ability to estimate timelines to achieve any given animation and to foresee and communicate any possible obstacles along the way
- Effectively lead a team of motion graphic production artists, ensuring they have the information and assets they need in order to meet the clients’ quality standards and timeline
- Structure After Effects & production comps to optimize efficient production and localization workflows using proper structure of animation assets
- Coordinate with producers, traffic, design, development, content management, and international teams to meet project goals and ensure efficient file handoffs for localization
- Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that animations & video assets look & perform flawlessly
- Identify and help implement opportunities for process, automation, design, file formatting, and technical improvements
- Responsible for writing, updating and delivering training materials for existing and flex resources
- Maintain a work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates the highest calibre of skilled Motion Graphic Production professionals
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a hands-on, high-volume motion graphic production for entertainment business lines (or equivalent), of which 2-3 years was in a senior role that included managing projects & animation creation
- After Effects expertise in compositing and UI animation, with scripting and expressions a plus
- Firm understanding of 3D practices and it’s integration with After Effects
- Photoshop knowledge and expertise, including but not limited to smart objects, resolution, and file export options
- Creating and maintaining organized shared working files and folder structures
- Working knowledge of Sketch and Principle
- Illustrator knowledge and expertise pertaining to vector based animations
- Solid standards-based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledge
- Maya/Cinema4D to After Effects workflow experience a plus
- Batch production, Adobe, Javascript, and Mac based scripting experience a plus
- Render farm setup and usage experience also a plus
- Highly detail oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
- Thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Establishes rapport and collaborates easily
- Problem solver with experience troubleshooting technical challenges •Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
Pay range:
$101,000 - $142,000
