A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. What does a Quality Assurance Manager does at Hogarth
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all testing activities for websites, platforms, and other deliverables. The successful candidate will have an extensive background with quality assurance, team leadership, project management, and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results with focus on user experience.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop testing strategies as well as be hands-on in leading your team through daily decision-making and high profile launches with constant changing timelines
• Work efficiently with cross-functional teams, understand project requirements, plan the team’s deliverables and communicate effectively
• Own functional areas, define testing strategies and create documentation while maintaining QA requirements
• Established pattern of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineers
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and QA processes
• Focus on continuous improvements including a good balance of appropriate testing tools, techniques and automation
• Oversee resource allotment, resource schedules and delivery milestones to ensure that team and deadlines are met
• Closely manage timelines and resources by understanding priorities and team members' strengths
• Strategically align and partner with development, product and UX teams building product knowledge enabling deeper testing collaboration
• Manage a team of QA resources focusing on automation and gray-box testing
• Be accountable for the test automation projects, mentor, and provide leadership to the QA automation developers
• Drive the testing, data gathering, and project reporting for your team
• Coordinate testing with other teams, review test plans and related documentation, monitor progress and get sign-offs at key milestones.
• Process data from multiple sources, draw meaningful conclusions, and present valuable recommendations to leadership
• Provide leadership, technical expertise, and career development for individual QA contributors

Requirements:
• 8+ years of direct people leadership and project management experience
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with previous experience of leading a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with key internal partners, skilled at influencing and communicating across cross-functional teams
• Experience in automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience working with Git, SVN, CMS, and defect tracking systems
• Provide leadership, technical expertise, and career development for individual QA contributors
• Experience with testing methodologies and processes
• Must display great ability to organize and prioritize deliverables to balance speed during high profile product launches
• Ability to make key decisions and deliver results under extremely tight and stressful timelines
• Manage and provide estimates, scheduling, sourcing and oversight for all projects
• Participate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of all QA members
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
